In August, USF opened the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Computing. USF launches state's first college of artificial intelligence. AI will likely impact most industries, so the 黑料爆料 decided to jump in headfirst. 鈥淭his is a new experiment, a new very bold experiment that USF has stepped up to do to address this transition that鈥檚 happening in society because of AI,鈥 said Sarkar.

In the Oct. 31 episode of Florida This Week, faculty member Dmitry Goldgof joined a panel on innovation in the Tampa Bay region to discuss the ethics of AI. He explained that for AI to be trusted, especially in mission-critical applications. It must be explainable he said, saying that it must be able to show how it arrived at a decision. Because AI technology is evolving so quickly, traditional regulation lags behind; this makes transparency and explainability all the more important.
