Research at the Im/migrant Well-Being Research Center

The Im/migrant Well-Being Research Center (IWRC) supports interdisciplinary research that examines how immigration policies, social conditions, and community contexts shape the lives of immigrants in the United States. Our work aligns with the Center鈥檚 mission to foster collaboration among scholars of migration and immigrant incorporation and to translate research into innovative policy solutions that advance immigrant well-being.

IWRC researchers investigate issues affecting immigrant communities across multiple domains, including access to services, legal and policy environments, social integration, education, employment, and overall well-being. The Center鈥檚 projects use a range of methodological approaches鈥攆rom statewide surveys to qualitative interviews and community-engaged research鈥攖o capture the diverse experiences of immigrants and their families.

Through these and other efforts, the Center works to produce evidence that informs policymakers, community leaders, service providers, and the broader public. Research from the IWRC also supports student training, community engagement activities, and public-facing outputs such as policy briefs, podcasts, and events that bring academic insights to wider audiences.
