Seven USF College of Design, Art & Performance Art & Art History artists were selected for Nuestro Vaivén, an exhibition at The Ringling (now through March 22, 2026). This experience proudly showcases 22 artists who represent both the Americas and Florida, exploring various themes: expressions of beauty across visual traditions, health interpreted through stories of resilience, and cultural identity revealed in personal and collective narratives. Nuestro Vaivén brings together diverse artistic perspectives while reinforcing USF’s continued presence in influential regional exhibitions and established arts institutions.
Representing the college are Tatiana Mesa Paján (MFA ’22, visiting faculty member, printmaking), Emily MartÃnez (MFA ’25, adjunct instructor, painting and drawing), Adrián Gómez (MFA ’25), and alumni Libbi Ponce (BFA ’20), Carola Miles (MFA ’19), Selina Román (MFA ’13), and Gabriel Ramos (BFA ’11) from the School of Art & Art History. Their selection underscores the college’s role in shaping Florida’s contemporary art scene and reflects the lasting impact of its faculty and alumni across an engaged arts community.
Congratulations to the artists on this achievement!
