I recently sat down with some of my friends at , our primary teaching hospital, and talked with them about my own journey in medicine and the remarkable growth trajectory that both our organizations have shared over the past decade or so.
Our conversation gave me an opportunity to talk about one of things I most enjoy discussing: our shared values in #academicmedicine and how they have helped fuel our growth.
Our partnered organizations, which together form the region's leading academic health center, have rapidly become national leaders. The USF Health Morsani College of Medicine is now ranked in Tier 1, in the top 16 in the nation, among research-intensive medical schools by U.S. News & World Report. We鈥檙e ranked #1 in the country on the new Medical Excellence Index for medical education. And Tampa General now has six specialties led or co-led by USF faculty physicians among the top 50 in the nation, along with another five specialties in the top 10% nationally.
