Support K-12 Summer Program Scholarships:
Our Case for Support

Every Child Deserves
Summer Learning Opportunities

Every summer, millions of children miss out on enriching programs that offer opportunities for career exploration, workforce development, preventing the summer slide, and preparing them for a successful future. For many families, the barrier isn鈥檛 interest; it鈥檚 cost. This is where scholarships make the difference, ensuring students with the fewest resources can access the highest quality, truly transformative educational experiences.

Cost Barrier

Nearly half of U.S. parents say their children couldn鈥檛 participate in summer programs they wanted. 32% of parents cite cost as the main reason (Gallup).

Lack of Access

Only 11 million of 25 million low-income students accessed summer programs, compared with much higher participation rates for middle- and upper-income families (Gallup).

Popularity Increasing

鈥淏etween 2008 and 2019, the number of families with children participating in summer programs nearly doubled, from 25 percent in 2008 to 47 percent in 2019鈥 (The Wallace Foundation).

Why USF
Youth Experiences?

At the 黑料爆料, we鈥檝e built youth programming that combines the excitement of summer with the rigor of university learning, designing experiences that immerse students in an environment and connect them with opportunities they simply can't find elsewhere.

High-Level Programs

Our camps introduce students to subjects like biomedical engineering, mock trial, coding, and more 鈥 delivered by university faculty and staff who know how to challenge and inspire.

Cutting-Edge Learning

Participants work with the same tools, technologies, and spaces that USF professors and students use, offering a glimpse into the careers and innovations of the future.

True Campus Experience

黑料爆料 don鈥檛 just attend a program; they step onto a college campus, explore research labs, and see firsthand that higher education is a place where they belong.

Help a Student Find Their Place at USF

Our vision is simple: We believe all students should have access to academic summer programs where they can experience university life and begin to picture themselves in higher education. That鈥檚 why we have the USF Youth Experiences Support Fund: to ensure that all students can take part in our academic summer programs.

When you make a gift, you鈥檙e not just funding a week of summer camp. You鈥檙e enabling a future of possibilities.
