About my research
Growing up spending every summer at the beach in New Jersey, I鈥檝e had a sense of curiosity and appreciation for the ocean. I knew from a young age that I wanted to discover ways to make a difference by bettering the environment. In 2024, I graduated from Rowan University with a B.S. in environmental science, where I studied the impacts of sea-level rise on salt marsh methane emissions and the potential of using tidal restoration as a natural climate solution. Throughout this experience, I truly gained a passion for field work and conducting impactful research that benefits our planet. At USF, I鈥檓 pursuing a M.S. degree in the lab of Weiyi Tang. I plan to expand upon my undergraduate research focus by studying emissions and concentrations of greenhouse gases, specifically methane and nitrous oxide along the western Florida Shelf.
Why USF CMS?
After my first visit to campus, I could easily see myself thriving at the USF College of Marine Science. The CMS community demonstrated such overwhelming support for student led research in their program. Located on the water alongside plentiful resources for oceanographic research, USF made me feel set up for success as I further my academic career. By attending USF, I hope to gain broader knowledge that expands from the coast to open ocean, while also getting to collaborate with fellow scientists who share the same passion for marine science.
