Whether starting or continuing your graduate student journey at USF, we want to provide a seamless process to navigate from your arrival on one of its three campuses to a joyous culmination at commencement. You are attending USF at an exciting time of academic success as the university joins the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU). You are now part of this global network that can help us better serve the needs of our students.
Academic excellence and student success are our top priorities. That begins when you arrive. As you prepare to start your graduate career, we offer two important events to help acclimate you to USF: New Graduate Student Orientation and Graduate Student Week of Welcome.
As you continue your academic journey, the Office of Graduate Studies works with you and your academic unit to navigate through registration, provide necessary forms to ensure degree progression, and support you to achieve your goal of joining the global network of USF alumni.

Orientation
Orientation brings together faculty, staff, and current students to share information and advice to ease your transition and enrich your graduate experience at USF. A flexible schedule is designed to share important information across several topics.
Week of Welcome (WOW)
Graduate Student Week of Welcome (WOW) is a week-long celebration for new and returning graduate students each fall and spring. Activities are open to all graduate students to connect and engage by exchanging ideas, knowledge, and information. Grad WOW is sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies.
Your ID & Personal Accounts
USF provides a number of personal identifications associated with your academic journey. As you get started, you will want to learn your U Number (USFID) and activate your online NetID that will provide access to your official USF email, MyUSF, and Canvas.
Registration
Once you have activated your personal identifications, course registration is accessed through MyUSF. Log in to view your registration time and complete class registration through Student Self-Service.
