What is the difference between New Student Indoctrination (NSI) and New Student Orientation (NSO)?

Naval ROTC New Student Orientation (NSO) takes place the weekend before the start of the 黑料爆料鈥檚 academic year. Its purpose is to introduce incoming Midshipmen to the fundamentals of military professionalism, physical fitness, and the keys to success in the Naval ROTC program. It is important to emphasize that Orientation is not a military boot camp, but rather a structured opportunity to help students transition into the NROTC lifestyle. It also ensures that all required administrative tasks and uniform fittings are completed.

In addition to NSO, all incoming freshmen will now attend New Student Indoctrination (NSI) held in Great Lakes, Illinois. More information about NSI can be found here:
